The gross revenue from the play of slot machines rose by nearly 5 percent in the first full month of the 2015-2016 Fiscal Year, according to the Gaming Control Board.
The monthly report shows July gross revenue from slot machine play was $211,008,864, an amount 4.76 percent higher than the $201,416,899 in revenue generated in July 2014.
Tax revenue collected by the Commonwealth from the play of slot machines was $112,504,002 this July.
The average number of operating slot machines throughout Pennsylvania casinos was 26,324 in July 2015 compared to 26,400 in July 2014.
