The Department of State Monday issued a correction to the number of voters changing party affiliation ahead of the April 26 Primary: 89,234 voters changed to Republican, 60,222 changed to Democrat and 9,573 changed to “other.”
Earlier, the Department of State reported 214,000 voters changed affiliation: 52,200 became Democrat and 42,600 switched to be Republicans.
An error by a contractor resulted in the earlier incorrect numbers, the Department of State said.
