In remarks on the Senate Floor Wednesday, Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman (R-Centre) said again dealing effectively with ballooning pension costs will be a priority. “This is a this year issue; there is no waiting past this year’s budget for this issue to be resolved one way or another.”
“This year we have to come together and solve it… I’m sure, like any good compromise, it won’t be all our ideas, it won’t be all your [Democrats’] ideas, but at the same time we have to get to common ground, with the other side [Senate Democrats], with the governor, with the House,” Sen. Corman said.
