The House Liquor Control Committee is scheduled to meet on February 23 to take up Speaker Mike Turzai’s (R-Allegheny) liquor privatization bill.
House Majority Leader David Reed (R-Indiana) said last week the House will consider the bill next week with the objective of passing it to the Senate by week’s end. House Republicans extended the voting session through Friday in anticipation of a lively debate.
House Bill 466 was just introduced on February 12, with a corrective reprint on February 13.
The meeting will be held in Room G-50 of the Irvis Building starting at 10:00 a.m.
Rep. Chris Ross (R-Chester) serves as Majority Chair of the Committee and Rep. Paul Costa (D-Allegheny) serves as Minority Chair.
