The Gaming Control Board reported Friday the collective slot machine revenue produced at the 12 casinos during April dropped 3.6 percent compared to the same month last year.
April's gross revenue from the play of slot machines statewide was $197,760,977 compared to $205,155,406 of gross revenue in April 2013. The Board also reported the amount of tax revenue generated for the Commonwealth from slot machine play during this April was $105,766,654.
In a comparison of just the eleven casinos operating in April 2014 that were also open for the full month of April 2013, revenue was 4.6 percent lower this year.
