The Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. James J. Linksz as Interim Executive Director of the Commission. He will be succeeding outgoing Executive Director Diane Bosak, who has accepted the position of Executive Directorship with the Arizona Community College Coordinating Council.
Bosak, who has been with the Commission for over eleven years, has been integral in advancing the interests and promoting the successes of Pennsylvania’s 14 community colleges.
Dr. Linksz has over forty years of experience working in community colleges, including twenty years as President of Commission member institution Bucks County Community College, from which position he retired in September 2012.
In addition to his duties as a College President, Dr. Linksz served as President of the Commission for three years. He has a B.A. in Art and Architecture Design from Dartmouth, as well as a M.A./Ed.D. from Columbia in Higher and Adult Education Administration. A timeline for conducting a search for a permanent Executive Director will be released shortly.
For the past 50 years, the community colleges have provided over 3 million Pennsylvanians with an affordable, quality higher education choice. The Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges is a volunteer membership association for Pennsylvania’s community colleges.
Its members include the college presidents, members of colleges’ boards of trustees and key college administrators. The Commission represents the interests and advocates the collective needs of the community colleges to federal and state policymakers.
