Lt. Gov. Mike Stack today will announce he is filing a new proposed Congressional District map as part of a response to the League of Women Voters gerrymandering lawsuit now pending in the PA Supreme Court.
Unlike other defendants in the case, Lt. Gov. Stack has agreed with the plaintiffs’ argument that the 2011 Congressional redistricting was unconstitutionally partisan and should be replaced by a new map for the 2018 elections.
In his response, Lt. Gov. Stack will propose a map he says reunites counties and regions of common interest while giving back to voters their voice in the election process.
Stack and his legal team will explain their proposed map at the news conference which will take place on the balcony outside his Capitol office at 3:30 p.m. TODAY.
