PA Gaming Board: FY 2017-18 Ended With $16 Million Increase In Slot Machine Revenue

The PA Gaming Control Board Tuesday reported FY 2017-18 ended with a 0.7 percent increase in slot machine revenue-- $16 million-- compared to the previous fiscal year.  Tax revenue produced through slot machine play during the 2017/2018 Fiscal Year totaled $1,192,851,503.
Slot machine revenue was up in 7 of the 12 months during the fiscal year, with a 2017/2018 total of $2,352,320,936, approximately $16 million higher than the $2,336,152,508 generated during the 2016/2017 fiscal year.
The Board notes these figures reflect just slot machine revenue and not total gaming revenue that includes table games. The Board will provide those figures later this month when it publishes its June 2018 and Fiscal Year 2017/2018 revenue report for table games.
To date, since the opening of the first casino in November of 2006, revenue from slot machine play has totaled $24.8 billion resulting in a tax generation of $13.3 billion.
