Commonwealth Court Sides With Senate On Delaying Judicial Retirement Referendum

Commonwealth Court Wednesday issued a ruling siding with the Senate on the issue of delaying the referendum on raising the mandatory age for judicial retirements until November because not all voters had the opportunity to vote on the referendum.  In any case, the referendum was delayed anyway and the vote did not count, however, the referendum lost by 47,500 votes out of 2.3 million votes cast.  Click Here for a copy of the ruling.
